Objectives
In order to achieve our mission, our team continuously try to:
- To update and upgrade teaching programs attuned to the rapid global developments in computer technology;
- To understand and respect the professional standards of ethics expected of computer scientists and software engineers and appreciate the social impact of computing;
- To provide sufficient exposure to relate academic instructions to actual practices in the world of computers.
Expected Outcomes of our Student
Each graduate student from our department should :
- Have a strong practical background in Computer Engineering with a focus in another discipline.
- Be able to apply knowledge of computing and mathematics appropriate to the discipline.
- Be able to analyze a problem, and identify and define the computing requirements appropriate to its solution.
- Be able to function effectively on teams to accomplish a common goal.
- Be able to analyze the local and global impact of computing on individuals, organizations and society.
- Be able to write technical documents such as specifications, design and users manuals in appropriate formats.
- Be able to work in interdisciplinary groups consisting of non-technical and technical members.
